I’d always wondered about Pho Express on Upper St. Such a tiny little space; my curiosity was always piqued when walking pass.
For little more than a fiver, you get what is probably the best value Pho in London. The broth could be a little heavier on the spices and star anise and noodles just a touch softer than I’d like, but make no mistake; it is a steal for what you pay.
A splash of Sriracha to liven things up; then watch Islington pass by from the comfort of the window seat. No room to fit in more than the Pho, I did manage to steal a glance at the Bahn Mi someone ordered after me. More bread than filling, it looked disappointingly flat and anaemic. Stick to the pho.
