Down the road from Sainsbury’s in Angel, is the Angelic, an upmarket pub serving Sunday Roasts.
Roast Beef, minus the massive yorkshire pudding it comes with. The beef is slightly overdone, but the vegetables on the side are hearty and full of flavour.
Pan fried sole; this was brilliant. Crispy skinned fish, mussels on the side, crushed herb potatoes, green vegetables, a light cream sauce and a squeeze of lemon to finish it off. Hardly ground-breaking, but cooked well to showcase the quality of the produce.
And that’s how you do Sunday afternoon.
